This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of the Video Notes website and application at app.video-notes.co (“the Service”). By using the Service, you agree to comply with this policy. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.
Prohibited Uses
You may not use Video Notes to:
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
- Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others, including submitting content you do not have the right to process.
- Harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate any individual or group.
- Distribute malware, viruses, or any other harmful code or software.
- Engage in phishing, social engineering, or any form of deception targeting other users or third parties.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Collect or harvest personal information of other users without their explicit consent.
Content Restrictions
While Video Notes processes publicly available YouTube videos, you are responsible for the content you submit and create. You may not use the Service to:
- Generate, store, or distribute content that is defamatory, obscene, or promotes violence or hatred.
- Process videos containing illegal content or content that violates YouTube’s Community Guidelines.
- Create notes or annotations that contain harmful, misleading, or fraudulent information intended to deceive others.
- Redistribute AI-generated transcripts, summaries, or analysis for commercial purposes without authorization.
Rate Limits & System Abuse
To ensure fair access and service reliability for all users, the following actions are prohibited:
- Using automated scripts, bots, crawlers, or scraping tools to access the Service beyond normal usage patterns.
- Attempting to circumvent rate limits, usage quotas, or other technical restrictions.
- Deliberately overloading the Service with excessive requests or data.
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other user accounts, or our infrastructure.
- Reverse-engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any part of the Service or its underlying technology.
- Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the Service.
Consequences of Violation
If we determine that you have violated this Acceptable Use Policy, we may take one or more of the following actions at our sole discretion:

- Temporarily suspend your access to the Service while we investigate.
- Permanently terminate your account and delete your associated data.
- Report the activity to the appropriate law enforcement authorities if we believe the violation involves illegal activity.
We reserve the right to take action against any conduct that we reasonably believe violates this policy or is harmful to other users, third parties, or the integrity of the Service, even if not explicitly listed above.
Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any use of Video Notes that violates this Acceptable Use Policy, please report it to us at support@video-notes.co. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. When reporting, please include as much detail as possible, including the nature of the violation and any relevant evidence.

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the revised policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
